This Privacy Policy explains how BinaryIm ("we", "us", "our") handles information in the mobile application WordNest (the "App"). The App is a free educational vocabulary game designed for children and families.
1. Our approach to children's privacy
WordNest is directed to children. We comply with:
- the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States,
- the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation, including protections for children (GDPR-K), and
- India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP).
Because the App is child-directed, all advertising is served in non-personalized (contextual) mode, and we do not request consent from children for personalized advertising or any form of tracking.
2. Information we do NOT collect
We do not collect, ask for, or require any of the following:
- Name, email address, phone number, or postal address
- Account registration or login of any kind
- Precise (GPS) location
- Photos, camera, microphone, contacts, or files
- Any information typed by the child
The App has no chat, no social features, and no user-generated content sharing.
3. Information collected automatically by third-party services
To keep the App running, understand how it performs, and show age-appropriate ads, we use the trusted third-party services below. These services may automatically collect limited technical information such as device type and operating system, app version, non-identifying ("pseudonymous") device identifiers, approximate region (derived from device settings or IP address), in-app events (e.g. levels played), and crash diagnostics. This data is used only for the purposes described and is handled in a child-directed / non-personalized manner.
| Service | Provider | Purpose | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Firebase Analytics | Google LLC | Aggregate, anonymous app usage | link |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Google LLC | Crash & stability diagnostics | link |
| Unity LevelPlay (ironSource) | Unity Technologies | Non-personalized ad mediation | link |
| Google AdMob | Google LLC | Non-personalized ads | link |
| AppLovin | AppLovin Corp. | Non-personalized ads | link |
| Unity Ads | Unity Technologies | Non-personalized ads | link |
Ad providers may process a device identifier and IP address solely to deliver ads, cap ad frequency, and prevent fraud โ never to build advertising profiles of children.
4. Advertising
The App shows non-personalized ads only. These ads are based on general, contextual signals, not on a user's past behavior or interests. We instruct every ad network to treat all users as subject to child-directed treatment (COPPA) and to serve non-personalized ads (GDPR). We participate in Google Play's Designed for Families program, and ad content is restricted to be age-appropriate.
5. Information stored on the device
Your game progress (such as levels completed and settings) is stored locally on the device and is not transmitted to us. Removing the App deletes this local data.
6. How we use information
- operate and maintain the App,
- measure aggregate, anonymous usage and improve the App,
- diagnose crashes and fix bugs, and
- deliver non-personalized, age-appropriate advertising.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not build profiles of children or serve personalized/behavioral advertising.
7. Data sharing
We do not share information with anyone except the service providers listed in Section 3, who process it only to provide their service to us under their own privacy terms. We may disclose information if required by law.
8. Data retention
We retain aggregate analytics and crash data only as long as needed for the purposes above, after which it is deleted or anonymized in line with each provider's retention policies.
9. Security
We rely on reputable providers (Google, Unity, AppLovin) whose services transmit data over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect information.
10. International data transfers
Our service providers may process data on servers located outside your country. These providers maintain safeguards for international transfers as described in their policies.
11. Parental rights and choices
- Review or request deletion of any data associated with their child by contacting us at the email above.
- Opt out of ads measurement at the OS level (reset/delete the advertising ID on Android, or "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS).
- Stop all collection by uninstalling the App.
We will respond to verified parental requests promptly and will not condition a child's use of the App on providing more information than is reasonably necessary.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a prominent notice within the App or store listing.
